AECOM are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyorto join us on a Orbital Highway project in Qatar. The main purposeof this role will be to support all commercial matters relating toa major highways project. Key duties will include; •Monitoring contractors cost control procedures throughout theduration of the project including the design phase, constructionphase and final accounts. • Implementing and maintainingall required cost control and audit procedures for all project costcontrol activities designed to measure the project status.• Assessing, evaluating and making recommendations relatedto any financial claim and providing the necessary input withregards to settling such claims. • Evaluating allvariations. • Monthly cost reports. • Preparingand pricing change orders and negotiating agreements with theClient and Contractor as necessary. • Negotiatingcontracts with the contractor in partnership with the CommercialManager and Contracts Manager. • Conducting viabilitystudies and cost estimates. • Chairing and recording costreview meetings with Contractors. • Provide assistance tothe team during negotiations, arbitration or any other forms ofdispute resolution Ideal candidate must possess a BSc in QuantitySurveying and RICS 10 years experience working on large HighwayConstruction Projects Experience in claims arbitration proceduresPlanning major projects Computer literate and expert Primavera userAbout The Company AECOM is a focused supplier of consultancy,engineering and project management services to its customers in theworld's oil and gas, minerals and metals, clean energy,environment and infrastructure markets.
