We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Mechanic to join our team at our truck dealership located in Johannesburg Roodepoort. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks of various brands. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting faults, performing installations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform advanced diagnostic testing on heavy-duty trucks to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.Utilize diagnostic tools, equipment, and software to troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems.Analyze diagnostic data and interpret fault codes to determine the root cause of issues.Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.Repair and replace faulty components and systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance.Perform software updates and calibrations as required to address vehicle issues.Document all diagnostic procedures, findings, and repairs accurately and comprehensively.Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.Provide guidance and support to junior technicians and apprentices as neededRequirements:Computer Literacy is essential and Red Seal qualification Diagnostic MechanicMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with heavy-duty trucks after obtaining the qualification.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty vehicles.Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.Location: Johannesburg Roodepoort
