Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events. As our Events Assistant, you will work with the nationwide Events Team to develop and implement compelling initiatives that support awareness and fundraising. You are an ambitious, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual, who thrives on working for a worthy cause by utilizing your skills as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team. You bring energy, positivity and a "can-do" attitude to your work and your team. This is an opportunity to both contribute meaningfully and gain new experience and skills.Key Areas of Accountability:Your work may include, but will not be limited to:Assist with event planning tasks, as assigned.Assist with soliciting gifts-in-kind for our Fire Ball Silent Auction.Assist with populating and maintaining our Silent Auction tracking.Assist with data entry in our CRM (Raiser's Edge).Assist with our cataloguing our events storage.Assist with creating event-related content.General administrative duties, as assigned.Qualifications, Experience & Skills:Currently studying events management, project management, marketing, communications, or a related field.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (French language skills an asset).Experience with event planning and the creation of supporting content and materials.Keep up with the latest social media trends and have experience creating compelling content.Love taking initiative, are resourceful and highly organized.Comfort designing in Canva.Familiar with Raiser's Edge and/or the willingness to learn a new CRM.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative suite.Access to high-speed internet (a laptop and phone will be provided for the period of the internship for work purposes)Personal experience with arthritis, an asset.Self-starter, resourceful, initiative-taker.Excellent organization and time management skills.Working Conditions:Your position is Designated. This means you will work at least 2 days a week from our Toronto office and the rest of the days remotely/from home. The exact days you are required to work from our office will be determined by your supervisors.
