Under the responsibility of the Director of Sales - Western Canada, the position holder follows up on all customers' requests.
Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:
Answers customer calls and inquiries;
Takes the customers' orders and enters the data on AS400 or Webgate;
Calls/Emails customers to confirm orders and the delivery dates according to the production plan and customer needs;
Submits the special requests or particular specifications to the Purchasing Manager
Works in cooperation with the Shipping department in order to get and give accurate information on the deliveries
Matches the purchase orders, the bills of lading and the invoices
Issues the correct charge code on transportation invoices and does the re-invoicing, if necessary
Notes the complaints from customers, distributes the information to the people concerned and does a follow-up on the answers with these customers
Issues credits and returns based on investigation, preparing paperwork for processing
Communicates with the Director of Sales, Business Development Managers, Warehouse manager and Customers relative to stock availability and possible substitutions
Customer complaints from external customers, does all the associated clerical work
Overseas and applies order entry and verification of pricing programs
Coordinates activities follow up with other employees at the plant to meet schedules
Any other related tasks.
Requirements:
High School Degree and 3 years of experience in a similar position
Very good spoken and written English
Proficient with Outlook and AS400 (an asset)
Very good mathematical aptitudes
Good knowledge of MAPEI products, Windows environment, and quality standards
