PurchaserAir Filter Sales and Service is looking for an enthusiastic, and well-organized individual to join our team in the role of Purchaser. This role will be responsible for buying goods/materials, supplies and services from suppliers, ensuring that they are of the quantity, quality, price and availability required by Air Filter Sales and Service. This position works closely with our sales team, accounting team and warehouse team to provide the 5 R's of procurement, the right quality product, delivered in the right quantity, to the right place, at the right time, for the right price. Responsibilities: Work closely within our existing supply chain to obtain competitive quotes.Prepare, place and document orders as required.Research new suppliers and stay up to date with changing costs and products.Familiarize yourself with Air Filter's products and services.Capture shipping costs on internal orders.Liaise with multiple internal teams to proactively communicate order statuses.Manage purchase requisitions or quotes on materials to ensure appropriate decisions are made regarding the choice of suppliers; obtain purchase order numbers; ensure suppliers and purchase order requirements meet our requirements. Work closely with our Shipper/Receiver regarding the logistics and processes supporting the purchasing function.Work closely with our sales team, service lead and warehouse lead regarding the production schedules to ensure the appropriate flow of materials, parts, and assemblies. Maintain a master inventory binder/database and keep an accurate count of all inventories Participate in the recommendation and implementation of approved purchasing policies and procedures.Adhere to quality procedures and work instructions, and actively participate in the quality improvement process.Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, ideally in an industrial or commercial setting.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to think critically, solve problems and resolve issues.Capable of working in a dusty and dirty industrial environment.Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, OneNote, Excel, Teams).
