About the role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Financial Analyst to join our Finance team, to take the lead on market data analysis, review of business metrics, and back-end modelling. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director and will support senior stakeholders across the group through their analysis, modelling and presentation skills. In addition, they will be responsible for providing financial and market data analytics for our main shareholder, WDI The ideal candidate may come from within practice or corporate services. Ideally, you will have 5+ years’ experience in a Big 4 (or equivalent) modelling team or similar experience in an investment banking or management consulting environment. Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Support FD, CEO, and WDI in the preparation of Board reports, leadership updates, slides, graphs, etc. as and when required.
  • Create and develop financial models including 1)Ability to build models for annual operating budgets including integrated P&L, BS, CF models. This requires partnering across the business to understand products, pricing, volume, costs, margins, etc. 2) High-level and long-term business planning.
  • Collaborate with our Management Information Systems (MIS), commercial and operations teams on designing new BI dashboards to help with data analytics, KPI’s to enable informed business decisions.
  • Perform business and financial analysis as may be needed from time to time across the group.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong degree qualification in finance-related discipline (e.g. Maths, Economics, Finance, etc.)
  • At least 5 years experience in business/finance analysis in the financial, corporate or banking sector.
  • Excellent technical skills required for modelling, including advanced use of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, Index, Match, etc.) and any other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to present results, insights, and recommendations succinctly and clearly

Desirable skills & experience
  • Experience with BI Tools, OLAP tools and Tableau would be advantageous.
