We are looking for a highly skilled, curious, and engaged Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance and Commercial Operations Group, which ensures the business has the underpinning financial systems, physical infrastructure, processes and reporting in place to support Te Pūtea Matua's direction and ensure the Bank's operations are effective, efficient and represent value for money. Te tūranga - The roleAs the Senior Financial Analyst your key responsibility is to provide strategic financial advice to the Senior Manager Finance/Financial Controller and Director of Finance/CFO, collaborating closely with the Finance teams and across the wider Bank. You'll also be responsible for the strategic financial insights and recommendations, providing financial expertise within Finance to connect people, systems and financial operations, supporting the integrity of core operational finance and treasury accounting capabilities to meet the complex needs of Te Pūtea Matua's stakeholders into the future.Ō pūkenga - About youTo be successful in this role you'll:
  • Lead the development and delivery of the work required to support the Bank's delivery of key financial strategies and outcomes, including organisational financial planning, modelling, and forecasting, and preparing strategic financial papers for the Executive and Board;
  • Provide sound critical thinking and well-researched insights for best practice to address complex financial issues and enable the development of high quality and insightful strategic financial analysis and recommendations;
  • Lead the development of high-quality analytics and data visualisation of financial data to support improved decision making;
  • Developing strong relationships and knowledge across the Bank;
  • Support financial change initiatives, including climate related financial reporting;
  • Support the oversight and critical assessment of the Bank's monthly financial results and external financial reporting;
  • Champion continuous improvement to deliver an efficient and effective internal control environment, ensuing appropriate risk mitigation and change management; and
  • Collaborate to ensure an agile environment that enables timely and effective delivery on commitments.
