This team is responsible for managing the company's strategic planning process, assessing market opportunities and threats, recommending and prioritizing actionable growth strategies and investments, defining and executing business transformations, and driving mergers and acquisitions that advance the company's strategic objectives.Knowledge/Skills/CompetenciesAct as principal strategic advisor to the senior leadership team of the $4.5B Connectivity and Cloud Solutions (CCS) business unitDevelop and maintain business unit strategies, including scoping and structuring, formulating hypotheses, conducting research, performing analysis, developing actionable recommendations, and creating implementation plansIdentify and evaluate logical extensions (white spaces) of the company's current core competencies by assessing market, technology, and macroeconomic trendsConduct ongoing assessments of industry and competitive landscape, identify key industry trends impacting the business, and characterize associated opportunities for growthIdentify leading trends & opportunities and drive greater efficiency, effectiveness, & capability in collaboration with functional leadersLead special initiatives as requested by the ELT in support of the strategic visionWork closely with ELT to provide thought partnership on the acquisition pipelineSupport critical deal phases, which may include competitive landscape analysis, pipeline development, strategic due diligence, transaction management, and post-merger integrationSupport development of executive-level communications at all levels of the company, including the Board of DirectorsTypical ExperienceDesired Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experience, with three or more years in management consulting or corporate strategy at a multi-billion dollar companyExperience leading project teams of cross functional leaders as well as managing and developing a team of junior resourcesExperience in server and networking hardware at OEMs (e.g. Accton, Arista, Dell, HPE, etc), hyperscalers (e.g. Google, Amazon, etc.), or large corporationsSkilled at influencing and communicating with a diverse set of functions and audiencesAbility to create complex financial models to simulate portfolio-level scenariosRelentless focus on driving tangible impact to the corporationTypical EducationBachelor's degree in related field (preferably in Business or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA is preferred. Educational requirements may vary by geography.Physical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, etc.) are frequently required. Frequent overnight travel may be required.
