Position Job Title: Assistant/Associate Faculty, Clinical Biomedical Sciences (continuing)Location: Niagara Falls, Ontario (Onsite)Department: Department of ScienceDescription: The University of Niagara Falls, Canada, invites applications for a Faculty level position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor with a specialization in Clinical Biomedical Sciences. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in an appropriate Science or related field by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering courses, seminars, and laboratory classes to students in the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences Program. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the biomedical curriculum and delivering high-quality education across various courses.A proven track record of excellence in teaching and a strong portfolio in the areas of Clinical Skills and Clinical Cases will be a distinct advantage. Expertise in new course development and curriculum design is essential, with an understanding of the importance of ensuring alignment with academic standards and innovative teaching methodologies. Oversight of all aspects of course delivery, including lectures, laboratory/tutorial sections, and assessments, is expected. Collaboration with the academic team is vital for enhancing and updating the Biomedical Science curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and advancements.Demonstration of a keen commitment to creating a diverse, inclusive and engaging learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Monitoring student progress and implementing interventions as needed are integral components of the role. The candidate is expected to provide academic program guidance and support to students.Engagement in scholarly activities, including research, scholarship, and publications, is expected. The successful candidate will be required to stay current with developments in the biomedical science field and continue professional development to stay abreast of different pedagogical practices and approaches.
