360Lending (www.360lending.ca) is a BBB accredited Canadian mortgage brokerage with over 2,000 5-star reviews online, and we are looking for a top-quality Associate Mortgage Underwriter to join our team!  This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional who wants to:drive the growth of a successful and reputable brokerage.work alongside with highly motivated teammates.jumpstart his/her career development and income growth.Responsibilities:Underwrite A / B / private deals and resolve potentially complex scenarios.Communicate financial concepts and scenarios to clients in layman's terms.Assess mortgage applications and income documents to determine suitability.Identify potential income, credit, and fraud risks associated with each application.Work with agents, clients, lenders, and lawyers to satisfy all outstanding conditions.Perform all duties in accordance to the mortgage industry regulations and privacy lawsRequirements:MUST have a minimum of 1-year experience with a mortgage lender/brokerage as a Mortgage Underwriter and/or Mortgage OfficerMUST have impeccable communication skills.MUST be comfortable with working directly with clients.Fluent understanding of income and mortgage related documentationExperience working with loan origination software such as Filogix/ExpertStrong attention to detailsAssets / Qualities:Ability to communicate in a friendly, effective, and professional manner is critical to success in this role.Ability to learn a proven sales method and objection handling.Ability to prioritize incoming issues and manage a constantly evolving deal pipeline.Prior experience working at a bank or mortgage lending company.Prior experience working with financial software programs such as Filogix / Expert.Ability to handle confidential information according to FSRA regulations and company policies.  Financial Services
