Our website is www.caststeelproducts.com.The Western Canada Business Development and Technical Sales role will have the requirements: to travel to Company locations for meetings and training; and regular travel throughout Alberta and British Columbia, promoting products and services to this region. This position will be responsible for driving growth of the Company's cast, forged and fabricated wear, abrasion and heat resistant products. This includes development and implementation of a growth driven business strategic plan based on a strong understanding of industry trends and customer needs.This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished and proven consultative technical sales professional who understands how to drive new sales at the pre-design & Engineering (EPC), maintenance and production stages and to solicit job contracts for manufacture of engineered cast, forged and fabricated wear, abrasion and heat resistant products. In this key sales driver role, a key requirement will be to develop strategic customer relationships at the EPC, maintenance and producer levels.Western Canada Business Development and Technical Sales, main responsibilities are:·       Primary responsibility is to drive new sales.·       Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base·       Qualify key decision makers and their needs within your accounts. Identify, qualify and secure new customer accounts in the Oilsands, Mining and Cement Industries. ·       Closes new business deals in person by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations·       Be responsible for the management of complete project cycles with help of other team members, starting at the prospects' needs discovery and quote generation stages, through offer presentation, project planning, project execution and summaries·       Clarify and confirm your customer's needs and expectations (post sale)·       Building and maintaining customer relationships with key decision makers/influencers to obtain new and repeat sales·       Mining and cold calling potential customers ·       Develop and achieve sales targets·       Weekly reporting and scheduling·       Budget and forecastingExperience Required     ·       Proven ability to consistently drive profitable new business!·       Minimum of Five (15) years' experience in an outside business development sales role preferably selling to the Oilsands, Mining and Cement Industries. ·       Demonstrated ability to qualify key decision makers and their needs within your accounts (consultative questioning).·       Demonstrated ability to present targeted solutions to key executives & decision makers (solutions sales closing).·       Proven ability to develop relationships deep into your accounts (relationship skills).·       Proven technical sales ability to clarify and confirm your customer's needs and expectations (project management).·       Proven ability to drive new sales; prospecting, qualifying, developing interest, identifying needs, delivering presentations, qualifying concerns and closing.·       Proven consistency; consistently achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), sales targets and professional development goals.·       Professional stability - demonstrated stability in your personal and professional life.·       Demonstrated strong communication, organizational and relationship skills.·       Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for our products/services.·       Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.·       Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.Skills required·       Are willing to travel throughout Alberta and BC on a regular basis.·       Have a post-secondary degree in a technical/engineering discipline or marketing/business management. A 4 year degree or trade experience in metallurgy or mechanical engineering (preferred)·       Knowledge of metal castings strongly preferred·       Ability to read and evaluate engineered drawings of mechanical equipment·       Successful track record within a dynamic, growth oriented organization in a related industrial sector ·       Demonstrate an aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers.·       Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.·       Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.·       Valid driver's license. Job is remote and can be based anywhere in the territory Industrial Machinery Manufacturing
