Our company is seeking a Social Media Manager to manage our in-house social media account, @URBAVancouver which talks to over 194,000 Vancouverites daily and reaches over 10,000,000+ accounts monthly on Instagram & TikTok.The main responsibilities of the Social Media Manager include creating and managing our social media profile with relatable Vancouver-esque content, engaging with followers and developing relevant content as well as having a keen eye for what is/isn't good content.If you're a proven leader with strong communication skills & a creative approach to problems - we want to hear from you.We want Vancouver-based talent that understands Vancouver inside-out. Your job is to relate to Vancouverites and show them how to make more of the wonderful city of Vancouver. This is a part-time opportunity that is remote and is great if you're looking for supplementary income on top of a full-time role or are in school. ResponsibilitiesMonitor content by gauging engagement rates, content effectiveness & overall success.Be able to create relatable Vancouver memes on CapCut/Mematic/CanvaBe able to curate relatable Vancouver-based content across platforms such as TikTok, Reddit, Google & more.Be able to manage relationships between content creators & URBA over e-mail or DM.Creating story content that is engaging & encourages user-sent content.Scheduling of posts through automation software like Later.Engagement with our followers over comments & management of DMs.Being able to manage multiple social media accounts.Understand the in's and out's of what makes good content on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook & Twitter.Understand why content goes viral on Instagram, TikTok & TwitterUnderstanding of how to run social media ads & create social media ads is not required but is a massive asset.QualificationsProficiency in many social media platformsStrong customer service skillsIncredibly organized and able to meet timelinesFluency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets)A passion/addiction to Social MediaPerksRemote, part-time contractual based positionFlexible hoursWorking with one of the fastest-growing marketing agencies in the cityIncredible social media content learning opportunities & growth pathsIndustryMarketing & AdvertisingEmployment TypeContract Advertising Services
