We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch productions that captivate audiences and exceed client expectations. About the Role: A Crowd Safety Manager / First Aid Attendant plays an important role in keeping the spectators and staff of our live events safe. Working under the Risk Management Director they are responsible for the overall safety of all event attendees, working to ensure third-party security and medical contractors are held accountable and adhere with events standard operating procedures and ensuring all issues are monitored, tracked, and resolved. As a First Aid Attendant the employee will act as the company's first responder during any medical emergencies encountered during the construction phase of the event. (Only applicants with the appropriate medical training are being considered for this position)Responsibilities:Ensure a safe environment for all guests attending the eventProvide first aid treatment during medical emergenciesComplete all assigned paperworkFully understand each events Emergency Action PlanSecurity and Medical Contractor OversightContractor Orientation (e.g., Site and Safety reviews)Act as on-site Compliance officer, ensuring contractor accountability to SOP'sEnsure accurate and timely incident reportingWork in cohesion with the Safety Officer to support safe worksite practicesAttend Safety and Security meetings to review areas of responsibilities, provide input into agenda items and support delivering key messagesAssist the Risk Management Director to support the coaching and mentoring of employees and contractors on safety leadership and event operating proceduresImplement site-specific security plansPlay an active role during event Show Pause and StoppagesIntervene when required to assist with incident de-escalationAct as a leader to on-site contractors and employeesConduct event or site observations and record improvement opportunities with follow up actionsParticipate in After Event Reviews to understand and share key learningsMonitor recorded improvement opportunities to ensure corrective actions are being implemented and complied with.Other Duties as assignedSkills & Experience:Post-secondary education in a related field; or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2 years of experience working in a related industry (Live Events, Security, Medical, Emergency Services, Military.) Medical training certification at First Responder level or higher, (e.g. Emergency Medical Responder, nursing certifications)Ability to maintain tact composure during high-stress situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBe proficient at clear and concise report writing and note takingExperience working with 2-way radios Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to changeHighly organized with attention to detail and desire to take initiativeContribute to team morale with a positive attitude and the ability to receive and implement feedbackAbility to both take direction and show initiativeMature personal judgement with a high level of professionalism and diplomacyMust possess a full G Class Ontario driver's licenseAbility to successfully obtain Smart Serve certificationAbility to work; days, evenings, and weekends including holidays. The hours of work are based on customers and business needsAbility to lift 50lbsWork Environment:As the role will also work onsite during our events, there will be work on weekends and holidays with longer workdays typical of event hours.
