VACANCYSEMI SKILLED BOILERMAKER - SA STEELWORKSAIRPORT INDUSTRIA - CAPE TOWNThe Group has a position for a committed, hardworking and motivated Semi Skilled Boilermaker at our SA Steelworks Division in Cape Town. The successful applicant will report to the Boilershop Manager.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Housekeeping: Ensuring the cleanliness of all work stations and areas surrounding themAssisting the Manager / Supervisor with Ad hoc dutiesAssist with general work tasks and upkeep of structural machinesAdhere to health and safety regulations and instructions and advise the responsible person whenever there are risks identifiedCheck and Report on any deviations/faults that may occurAny other work tasks as operationally required Abilities & technical competencies required:Attention to detail and an preventative approach to troubleshootingGood eye-hand co-ordinationGood written, verbal and listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.Good team player - able to balance team and individual responsibilitiesAbility to read and interpret drawings from EngineersAbility to plan and coordinate tasksOxy-Acetylene cutting experience (2 years)Hydraulic/pneumatic tool experienceWelding experienceComputer literacy Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:Matric3-5 years Boilershop work experience in a manufacturing or production environmentKnowledge about Health & Safety ProtocolsKnowledgeable about all operational aspects of a plant, i.e.Good physical health.Own reliable transportWe regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
