This is an unusual position and will take a product minded individual with varied skills who is passionate about problem solving, solutioning.It is required that the individual have some background, studies or working experience in GIS technologies.REQUIREMENTSComputer Science, Informatics, IT, Stats Degree/ DiplomaMin 2-4 years experienceFamiliarity with LinuxCloud services (Azure, GCP, Huawei)Skills that support the environment, the team primarily works within: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL esp PostgreSQL or PostgreSQL compatiblePlatforms we use: Jupyter family of tools; PowerBI; Google Big QueryGeospatial knowledgeClient management skills you will be dealing with our clientsPortfolio of data science projects that you have worked on and can describeExposure to ML techniques and toolkits desirableAdvanced Geospatial Analytics skills, especially utilising SQLExperience in designing data pipelines and data analytics projects.Working in the product space building and developing products you will need to be able to look for opportunities to simplify product & technical design as well as understand spatial-temporal analytics problems of specific domains such as retail and othersThese Skills would be a major advantage:Text processing especially similarity matching,Spatial-temporal reasoningCuriosity and sense of experimentationGeospatial SQLPySAL familiarity - geospatial statistics techniquesGeospatial AIAI/MLModel selectionRAG, Vector databases, generation of embeddingsAbility to design and test appropriate ML models, apps and deployments
