NOCN are currently recruiting for qualified assessors to support with our Engineering Apprenticeship standards. We are particularly looking for assessors for the Engineering Operative & Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) standard. Please see below the role requirements for each standard. Location: On Site/Remote Hours: Worker Contract, Freelance Purpose and Objectives:

  • Ensuring End Point Assessments are carried out independently and meet NOCN's quality assurance Standards
  • To complete assessments in accordance with the prescribed assessment instruments as defined within the End Point Assessment plan
Engineering Operative Standard: The Engineering Operative Standard has the following 6 pathways: Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication, Material ( Processing or Finishing), Technical Support Role Requirements:
  • must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Engineering sector which they have demonstrated within the past 3 years
  • qualified to a minimum of level 3 within the engineering discipline being assessed
  • Hold Level 3 assessor qualification
Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician: The Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician has the following 7 pathways: Electrical, Mechanical, Control & Instrumentation, Wind Turbine, Electrical System & Process Control, Electromechanical, Plant Operations Role Requirements:
  • They must be currently working in the industry and occupationally competent at a minimum of level 3, or equivalent, with a minimum 3 years’ post qualification experience.
  • Hold Level 3 Assessing qualification
  • Have relevant and current CPD
