Job requirements Role Summary: If you have extensive experience as a Pensions Administrator and want a new change/challenge to step up into a people leader, this is a great step in to managing a team where you will:

  • Manage administrative and case management issues as well as data processing activities on a daily basis.
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure timelines and deliverables are met; notify project manager or client if timelines are in jeopardy.
  • Test and analyze pension data and systems during implementation and administration.
  • Manage client data using variety of technical tools and resources.
  • Manage client requests and processes.
The role will ideally be aligned with our Edinburgh office location on a hybrid basis, however other hybrid working options may be considered as Aptia have offices UK nationwide. Here's what you’ll be doing:
  • · Allocating cases to member hub administrators and monitor the progress of the completion of the cases throughout the day.
  • Reviewing the extended team queues to ensure the work is also going down in their work queues.
  • Providing feedback to team members on quality, productivity and overall performance
  • Managing the team in absence of team manager.
  • Carrying out monthly 1 to 1 meetings with team members.
  • Attending client meetings to discuss individual member cases or work in progress.
  • Performing pensions calculations, enter pensions data and answer enquiries to the required standard using automated and non-automated manual/system processes across a wide range of member or scheme events
  • Promptly and professionally communicate with clients and scheme members on queries when required via letter, e-mail and telephone.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
  • Previous pensions administration experience (Defined Benefit)
  • Knowledge and willingness to learn about different schemes.
  • Previous people leader experience (confidence in providing feedback and conducting peer reviews)
