Te Tūranga - The Role As our Information Security Manager, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. You will collaborate with cross-functional departments to implement robust security measures, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. In this role, you will understand and own cyber and technical security and compliance within Tait Communications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deployment of security controls as per client expectations and contractual commitments.
  • Day-to-day management of Cyber security solutions & operations.
  • Identification, investigation, and resolution of security breaches.
  • Working closely with the CISO to create and/or maintain policies, standards, and procedures to comply with ISO 27001, NZISM or any other international standards based on the customers' requirements.
  • Grow an environment of Security Awareness through campaigns and training.
Ō pūkenga - About You We are looking for someone who has experience working in a lead cyber security role, working with legacy, mobile and cloud security solutions. You will have experience implementing ISO 27001 / NZISM or an equivalent standard and have a working technical knowledge of security trends and technologies, intrusion protection, dual factor authentication, encryption, and other security solutions. Experience in one of more of the following is preferred:
  • An understanding of the New Zealand based government security framework
  • NZISM, DIA & PSR knowledge and experience
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CISSP/ CIS
  • Certified Ethical hacking certification.
