Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join the company’s EDAA organization as part of its big data delivery center. In this role, you will be responsible to analyse and translate the business requirements into functional requirements. You will be working in close collaboration with the Developers as well as the business SMEs to ensure close alignment with business needs and requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive business requirements gathering and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in the estimation of the effort needed to implement the requirements.
  • Participate in the analysis and design of the solution in collaboration with the Solution Designer.
  • Write test cases derived from the requirements to support the testing activities.
  • Participate as SME on behalf of the business in the User Acceptance Tests.
  • Support users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan.
  • Perform impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess some of the following:
  • Experience in capturing complex business requirements, analyze them and translate them into easily understandable functional requirements (5 years).
  • Experience in leading requirements gathering workshop.
  • Prior experience working in a financial services environment desirable, preferably insurance.
  • Experience of working in advanced analytics projects (predictive modeling, Claim Frequency & severity, Optimization models) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global organization, under time pressure and to manage ambiguity.
  • Advanced/Fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages are beneficial
  • Bachelor Degree (IT, Economics, Business Administration), Master degree or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE:

· Advanced analytical capabilities. · Knowledge of modelling methods and techniques (e.g. UML). · Good understanding of BI tools and concepts. · Awareness of big data tools and technology. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft ® Office 2010 Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
  • Ability to understand data models and data modeling concepts related to BI specific developments.
  • Advanced technical writing skills.
  • Analytical mind.
  • Empathy to end user experience and business needs.
  • Able to work under pressure in a multi-vendor and multi-cultural team.
  • Flexible, agile and adaptive to change.
  • Able to prioritize the business needs
