- Key Responsibilities:
- Install, de-install, and relocate all distributed systems and network hardware, including CSUs, DSUs, routers, switches, encryptors, and firewalls.
- Deploy UTP and Fiber cables, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
- Manage the installation, extension, relocation, and testing of carrier circuits to network hardware.
- Coordinate and implement patch cabling for systems and network hardware.
- Assist in the coordination of cabinet power, circuit, and patch infrastructure installations with various vendors.
- Collaborate on network component configurations and SAN cabling infrastructure.
- Maintain the integrity of data center facilities and communications environments through meticulous housekeeping and operational best practices.
- Provide hands-on, break/fix level 2 support for data center systems and communications environments.
- Coordinate and approve data center infrastructure change controls, ensuring compliance with standards and processes.
- Oversee compliance activities and contribute to management reports.
- Coordinate activities in support of projects and technical requests within the Data Center.
- Manage third-party vendors in alignment with business service commitments and corporate standards.
- Ensure clear and detailed turnover to next shift workers for seamless continuity.
- Review and approve hardware Move/Add/Change workflows using Aperture tool.
- Previous experience in data center operations or related field.
- Proficiency in hardware installations, network configurations, and system maintenance.
- Strong understanding of data center standards, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
- Certification in relevant areas such as network administration or data center operations is a plus.
