Role Purpose: Manage purchasing activities for the Mining Service Business Line, continuously improve resource efficiency and ensure implementation of global procurement strategies and best practice way of working. Your responsibilities Manages purchasing based on specifications and according to predefined procedures and processes to ensure delivery capability.Supports costing activities by obtaining supplier quotations and negotiating with suppliers where required.Prepares costing sheets for specific products and requirements.Engages with stakeholders, on strategic as well as tactical purchasing related matters, to ensure right and timely involvement.Manages and develops the purchasing team and ensures collaboration and alignment with group directives.Drives efficiency through resource optimization and implementation of best practice.Engages in the implementation of and compliance to procurement policies, processes and reporting of KPI's in alignment with group directives.Ensures building of strategic purchasing and sourcing competencies to engage in global initiatives as well as running local activities in alignment with Group Procurement.Ensures savings effectiveness through compliance to implemented global category initiatives.Monitors the operational performance of suppliers to ensure that FLSmidth's capacity to deliver is stable and long term.Builds and maintains relationships with supplier to secure future delivery of products.Ensures the group sourcing strategy is understood within the business unit and follows up on whether objectives are met. What you bring CIPS Degree / bachelor's degree in relevant area or the equivalent knowledge.5 - 10 years relevant industry experience.In-depth knowledge of procurement and global sourcing.Strong operational leadership skills.Solid understanding of technical specifications in purchase orders.Solid commercial and financial understanding.
