From the boardroom to the most remote locations, we have developed an unparalleled ability to bring order to chaos and reassurance to anxiety.Group Security director responsible for managing the security function of the Company and provide strategic direction by ensuring a professional, robust, and disciplined security guarding, information amp; support and investigations capability aimed at protecting Company property and assets in all jurisdictions. Responsible for ensuring complete diamond security from diamond recovery plants to client.Tasks and responsibilities Strategy and System Design: Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Company security strategy, systems and standards, as an integral member of the senior management team. Plan, design, implement and ensure adherence to the security strategy for the Company across all operations, incl. the definition of common standards, processes and methodologies for functional excellence that are auditable and support strategy. Verify compliance to standards. Security Information and Support philosophy and methodology: Develop and implement a target-centric approach to intelligence in line with industry and ethical standards, practices and principles focusing on corporate issues listed below. Illicit Diamond Trafficking (IDT) - Identify, assess, and address the link/relationship between diamond theft at the operations and organised crime in collaboration with relevant state authorities and external resources. Identify and report control/standard failures/inefficiencies and risk in diamond export and operations' production processes for action and feedback. Develop security performance monitoring systems and standards that are to be complied with by all the mine operational plans taking into consideration industry best practise and company objectives. Ensure that the Company is compliant with relevant laws and statutes by remaining abreast of all applicable legislative, compliance, local and international best practice business principles. Ensure that the Company is compliant with international standards regarding human rights and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR). Develop, implement and maintain security policies, protocols and standards to ensure compliance with the VPSHR. Responsible to generate ideas to increase throughput, efficiencies and productivity and to reduce cost - these could include projects to be conducted. Responsible to ensure that all diamond facilities adhere to the minimum requirements as stipulated by diamond insurance providers. Planning and Budget: Develop and execute a Security plan and budget and support the operations Security related plan and budget in order to demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in achieving business performance objectives. Provide input and oversight to the operation's security budget in order to provide assurance to the GM and the COO. Provide assurance on the execution of SIB and Expansion capital projects in respect of security. Develop, own, and control the security plan and budget for the area of responsibility. Provide related discipline expertise and skills to the operations; advising on security solutions to enhance or ensure the effectiveness of the operations. Ensure capacity and bench strength of functional talent pool by coordinating, directing and leading security talent across the group. Provide security guidance and input on security training programmes. Risk Management and Liabilities: Establish a sustainable process to identify, assess and prioritise Security risk as these relate to the business and operations, in order to promote a Security and risk-aware culture, ensure that any potential impact is understood, and facilitate effective decision making and Security risk mitigation. Risk Management and Liabilities: Contribute to the identification, analysing and interpreting of Security risks, vulnerabilities and anomalies within the organisation and contribute to the design and implementing of strategies and systems to mitigate risk and to prevent security risk to people and reduce loss of the organization's product and assets. Ensure that all security reporting is aligned with security programs, standards, controls, guidelines and schedules. Conduct periodical audits in line with established framework and schedule and provide audit findings and recommend opportunities for improvement to the operations and COO. Provide independent and objective security related incident reporting, escalation, and trend analyses to executive management. Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency of the Company's security procedures and systems which are currently in place. Safety, Health and Environment: Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company Vision and Values. Safety, Health and Environment: Identify and interpret security risks and resolve emerging issues; and ensuring that appropriate focus and resources area available to achieve security objectives. Engagement and Communication: Engage internal and external stakeholders on Security related matters, and support operations on Security related engagement. Engagement and Communication: Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the Security Function. Maintain relationships with local, provincial, and state law enforcement and other related government agencies . Annual Security Risk Reporting to Board and into Annual report. Manage the Internal security team by supervising, recruiting and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.
