Working on behalf of predominantly private clients, they take pride in shaping the future of the Auckland region through comprehensive development solutions. With the level of front-end design, planning and delivery work growing and a positive outlook over the next 12 - 24 months, a need has arisen for a Land Surveyor with 2 or more years experience to join their Auckland-based team. You will be complimenting a team of five surveyors and due to the diverse nature of projects will be offered a clear path to becoming licensed. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment and techniques to determine boundaries, topography, and other essential data.
  • Analyse survey data and prepare detailed reports, maps, and drawings for use in land development projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure survey requirements are met and project timelines are adhered to.
  • Utilise GIS and CAD software to process and interpret survey data accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of survey activities in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to address survey-related issues and ensure project success.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Surveying
  • Eligible for license as a Cadastral Surveyor in New Zealand.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in either a contractor or consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in GIS and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand surveying regulations and standards is advantageous.
This is a great opportunity to work alongside Licensed Surveyors on a day to day basis, soaking up the depth of knowledge on offer. Work from home options are available on an agreed basis.
