  • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Registrar in our prestigious International school.
  • As a Registrar, you will be responsible for managing student records and ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process.
Overview of the Role
  • Registrars are administrators at a school who are responsible for managing records of student information, including academic results, financial accounts, and class enrollment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary institutional manager of student-record information, with responsibility for providing data and analysis to academic and administrative offices concerned with educational policy, curricula, academic performance, and strategic planning, while ensuring the integrity of academic records.
  • Direct the effective service to students and faculty as it pertains to registration, and grade recording, ensuring sufficient numbers of staff training.
  • Coordinate updates and modifications to the student information system related to registration, advisement, academic records, and course entry.
  • Oversee the registration process for new and returning students.
  • Coordinate with teachers and staff to ensure timely and accurate enrollment information.
  • Create and maintain student schedules.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to students and parents regarding registration and enrollment inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other school personnel to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintains confidential student files and records related to grades and test results.
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters. Maintains current knowledge of legal requirements for protecting student information.
  • May assist with athletic eligibility if needed in middle school or high school.
  • Performs duties in a courteous and professional manner. Meets, greets, and deals effectively with the general public, staff members, students, parents, administrators, and other contact persons using tact and good judgment.
  • Assists parents and/or school personnel in obtaining needed documentation, verifications, transcripts, or records for meetings, projects, planning or legal proceedings.
  • Exhibits interpersonal and collaboration skills to work as an effective team member.
  • Reports potential problems, unusual events, or work irregularities to appropriate administrative or supervisory personnel. Responds to inquiries, requests, constructive feedback, concerns and/or complaints in a timely and positive manner.
  • Has general knowledge of office equipment, i.e., copiers, multiline phones system and intercoms. Arranges for technical support, servicing, and effective operation of office technology and office machines if requested.
  • Be flexible, adaptable to change, and perform all duties related to the general job function as assigned by supervisors. Performs duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed by supervisors.
  • Attends staff meetings, trainings and professional development as required.
  • Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision goals and priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven 5-10 years experience in a similar role, preferably in an International school setting.
Requirements:
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a diverse variety of people and groups.
  • Knowledge of computer network operations, data entry and retrieval using technology, and knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs: Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, or other comparable or similar software.
  • Proficient in using student information systems and database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and practices.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • Abilty to meet deadlines, assign tasks, and meet established goals and objectives.
  • Abilityto interpret and apply polices and procedure
  • Able to multtask, get tasks done quickly and accurately
  • Customer service oriented
  • Good general health, clean in attire and professional in appearance.
  • Ability to be punctual and maintain regular attendance.
