Due to parental leave, BestStart Leeds St is seeking a passionate and dedicated Centre Manager to join our energetic and tight-knit team on a fixed-term basis. BestStart Leeds Street is conveniently situated in the inner city of Wellington. However, we believe our learning environment extends beyond our property and into the surrounding city. About the Role: As a high-impact leader, reporting to an Area Manager, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you'll take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre! Being a great communicator and building fantastic relationships will be in your DNA.  Our team is very culturally diverse at BestStart Leeds Street, stemming from many different corners of the world. This is a fixed-term position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday ending May 2025.  Role requirements:   Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following: 

• B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification 
• Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum 
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
• A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices 
• You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others
• You are an innovator, both in input and output – being part of simplifying the way we do things excites you!
