Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) JOB BRIEF Procurement Manager responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. Responsible to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • To lead the Procurement Department • Responsible for sourcing and selection of suppliers and vendors; identify and negotiate on credit term application with suppliers and vendors. • Work closely with the Cost & Contract team to obtain product specifications and cost estimation for materials sourcing. • To plan and coordinate with suppliers/ vendors and site personnel on delivery schedules and perform close monitoring to ensure materials are delivered on time to respective project sites. • Perform inventory control and tracking; prepare weekly/ monthly reports for superior. • To monitor procurement budget and expenditure. • Plan and coordinate the implementation of new projects in a timely manner • Participate in meetings (task force, operation, etc), troubleshoot process and equipment problems, and spearhead action plans. • Responsible to ensure incoming invoices from suppliers and vendors are verified before issue payment. • Perform Vendor Evaluation to assess suppliers’ and vendors’ performance in terms of delivery schedules, • products quality, and service provided; prepare a report for superior review. • Direct, control, and motivate subordinates in all aspects affecting their work performances • Plan utilization of facilities, equipment’s, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency • Control of measuring equipment calibration • Complying with the safety terms and regulations and local authority requirements • Ensure total company facilities maintenance • Maintain good rapport with suppliers and vendors to get competitive rates and satisfying services. • Maintain good relationship and coordination with main contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and related parties that involved in the projects. • Monitoring & update movement equipment & running hours • Create a work environment with safety as a high priority • Perform evaluations of employees to ensure the quality of work • Record and track daily progress/error report • Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed • Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company • Perform any other job/functions that may be assigned to you as and when needed by your superior REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor´s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering. • At least 7 years relevant working experience as a Procurement and Maintenance Senior Executive /Head of Procurement and Maintenance or in a similar position. • Possess supervisory and management experience. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE • Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market talent in negotiations and networking. • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers • Experience in collecting and analyzing data • Deep knowledge in maintenance and procurement techniques. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong planning and organizational skills. • Excellent negotiation skills.
