Operations Analyst - Trade Management (12 Months Extendable)

The Company Our client is a global consulting firm working with a global Investment Management Group. We are looking for an Operation Analyst to join our client on a large-scale project. This is a 12 months contract with possibility of extension. In this pivotal role, you'll provide transition support to the BAU operations team. This includes tasks such training, pilot activities, and parallel run exercises. Additionally, the position involves managing daily BAU operations, covering trade matching, settlements, reconciliation, trade reporting, proxy voting, and corporate actions processing. The Role
- Execute trade matching and initiate settlement instructions for Equities, Fixed Income, and Transfers transactions with custodians.
- Enter data into Bloomberg AIM/IBOR, including reversing coupon/dividend payments, repo cash, and bond transfer cash. Upload transactions from External Fund Managers into the system.
- Confirm transactions (e.g., repos, bond transfers, IDR mutual funds) in Bloomberg AIM for integration with SAP FAM and third-party outsourced service providers.
- Manage corporate actions throughout the entire lifecycle, from announcement to entitlement receipt. Process coupon claims from repo counterparties.
- Monitor upcoming shareholder meetings for Proxy Voting, obtain Portfolio Manager decisions, and cast votes before deadlines.
- Report daily trades to relevant parties and stakeholders. Issue contract notes for central dealing funds to appropriate business units.
- Reconcile daily positions between Bloomberg AIM and custodian, as well as IBOR and custodian.
- Handle Mutual Fund Order placement, trade matching, and settlement. Process orders instructed by Portfolio Managers, send orders to fund houses or custodians, match trades in Bloomberg AIM with contract notes, and send settlement instructions to custodians.
- Fulfill other assigned responsibilities and duties as required by supervisors to meet operational needs.
- Bachelor Degree of Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Investment operations of insurance / fund management / banking & finance industry
- Strong in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
