This newly created role provides an opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team of highly specialised tradespeople and build a strong career. The Role: Our Fabrication Team get involved in a range of heavy steel fabrication projects and jobs, working to deadlines and specified quality standards. The work is varied, interesting and client driven. You’ll be expected to read engineering drawings, fabricate and then weld to these specifications. Primarily based at our Wairakei workshop there is also opportunity to work out on client sites and at our drill rig site. About You: With a background of working in heavy fabrication, you’ll be known for quality work, efficiency and your positive approach to getting the job done. With your experience you’ll be confident to work within a workshop team and out at our drill rig site where you’ll need to nut out the issue and fix it yourself. You’ll also be:

• Time served qualified fabricator with NZQA level 4 and proven experience in similar industries
• Able to maintain written records, interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures
• Able to gel within a small team and confident to speak up
• Prepared to work in remote locations
• Willing to work extended hours and shift work when required
• Possess a commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures

• Pipe and pressure vessel fabrication experience
• Competency in welding to ASME IX Standards in multiple processes
• Cross country pipe-line work
