IDB3312 - Senior Principal, Equity (Banking Investments) - ICD Location: Saudi Arabia - Jeddah Role Purpose: The role is responsible for due diligence, deal selection & structuring the FIs equity investment deals in accordance with the overall investment and risk guidelines. Responsible for developing in-house methodology and expertise in nurturing FIs constituting the investment portfolio and to monitor portfolio performance backed by effective project execution throughout its life cycle. The role further ensures implementation of portfolio activities as per the stated agreements and identification & escalation of potential roadblocks or risks. Participate in entering new markets and expanding client base to cover new channels and entities to direct ICD financing to the private sector. Assist in developing new products to meet the requirements of ICD and its clients. Perform necessary tasks and processes in order to secure the required approvals of ICD for investment opportunities that are feasible. Present investment proposals to the appropriate approval authorities after soliciting approvals through RMD, Legal, Development Effectiveness, Compliance and Shariah Negotiate with the client to finalize transaction terms and conditions. Prepare appropriate deal structure per the Investment criteria, finalizing term sheet and obtaining client’s acceptance to the structure and terms. Coordinate with legal department for legal review, preparing transaction documentation and closing transaction within the specified timeline. Establishing strong client relationship for the tenure of investment/financing Ensure that disbursements take place per compliance with CPs of transaction terms. Coordinate all the processes after the approvals which include disbursements for both equity and financing transactions related to Equities. Participate in creating framework for managing portfolio companies & valuation models and ensuring effective implementation. Track ICD's equity portfolio to identify the areas where technical skills and expertise will be required to support ICD beneficiaries effectively going forward. Continuous monitoring to balance the portfolio. Prepare and transfer distressed projects to Special Operations Division as per internal policies. Identify any problems and work out, negotiation, clear and implement limited restructuring solutions in exceptional circumstances. Monitor the board activities of the investee companies in coordination with the ICD board nominees. Ensure that timely and effective decisions are taken by ICD as a shareholder and communicated on its behalf in respect of the portfolio companies. Qualifications/ Professional Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience in Equity Investment related roles at a reputable financial institution, financial advisory firm, or private equity firm (or equivalent) is a must. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or any other relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subject is a must. Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting or any other relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subject or a relevant Professional Certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Islamic Bankers, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) , Certified Equity Professional (CEP) or any relevant professional certifications is required.
