Job DescriptionThis is a 6 month contract for maternity cover.Mission:To provide cost accounting, financial, administration and legal support to the company's general management. As such, the incumbent ensures reliability and accuracy of the financial statements, in order to comply with all relevant accounting, tax and reporting standards, both from a local regulation and from a Consolidated Group standpoint.Responsibilities:Value of Total Purchases of raw material - varying up to R25M plus annually on average.Value of other materials and equipment - Approx. R12m annuallyGeographical Areas/Zones - South Africa at plant and project level.Accountable to oversee and audit the company cost accounting processes and procedures, considering the final products, within the parameters of reliability, accuracy and timeliness of production costing processes, within company specific financial regulatory requirements and standards.Accountable for the analysis of inventory accounts and cycle accounts/stock counts.Report on variances and inaccuracies in the cost accounting processes.Ensure reporting data is accurate and on time to meet Group reporting deadlinesEnsure companies are compliant with statutory and legal requirementsManagement Accounting support to the Business2x2 Cover for Financial ManagerTo analyse data provided in order to make proper financial decisionsIdentify variances and implement preventive controlsCostingEvaluate Standard cost with moving average cost of Raw materials on a quarterly basis.Report on Production order variance for material, machine & labour hours.Calculate individual material production cost.Provide cost estimates on products as per request from Sales and Production.Review routing information to do adjustments if necessary.Review, update and release of production cost on SAP based on BOM changes.InventoryMonthly verification of stock counts.Processing of stock adjustments based on stock count results.Preparation of stock report Reconciliation for management review.Review of balance sheet reconciliations.Control proceduresAssess and assist in the implementation of adequate internal control procedures within the organisationEnsure that compliance to various local and international bodies / rules are implemented (tax; accounting and reporting)Ensure that recommendations from Internal Audit are implemented on a timely mannerReview of Project Costing reportsMeeting and achieving all applicable HSEQ SOP's for the AreaRequirements:Minimum Relevant Financial/Cost Accounting Qualification or equivalent NQF 7/8 qualificationMin 3-5 years Cost Accounting/Financial management experience in a similar industry, with SAP modules Inventory, Production, Costing experience, essentialKnowledge of Bill of Materials(BOM) structureAdvanced Excel skills for reporting and calculating purposes using large volumes of dataExperience of hands on production processGood communication skillsMust be able to work accurately, consistently and reliably to tight timetablesA team leader who will be able to be 2x2 Cover for the Financial ManagerA team player with a desire to add valueApplicant must show organisational skills and an attention to detail as well as a positive and enthusiastic approachAbility to work under pressure, achieving specific financial milestones and deliverables, achieving time and budget expectationsRead and write in English, communicating and reporting on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.May be required to work outside of normal working hoursAbout UsCalderys GroupCalderys is a leading global solution provider for industries operating in high temperature conditions.
