Fleet Planner

Are you interested in a rewarding, challenging and exciting career?*The *Fleet Planner *is responsible for supporting our operations team with daily tasks to ensure freight is moving efficiently and cost-effective manner. Monitor logistic transactions while communicating effectively and efficiently both internally and externally to achieve high levels of service.*Responsibilities will include:** Determine the most efficient and economical route.* Utilize optimization software and determine the most cost-effective routes and freight movement which fully meet the customer service requirements while maximizing profit.* Review previous day's loads for success and failures and provide metrics. Initiate investigations into causes of damage or shortages of consignments.* Organize and consolidate pallet return shipments into delivery runs to facilitate improved transit times and customer service while reducing transportation expenses.* Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery, reporting issues to warehousing and procurement.* Provide outstanding customer service based on timely and accurate feedback to appropriate questions relative to assigned duties.* Assist stakeholders in resolving issues regarding loading, unloading, appointments, unplanned accessorial and communicate to appropriate parties as necessary.* Analyze existing shipping processes for possible improvements and provide support for various implementation plans.* All other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Manager.*Qualifications** Strong background using Partner Carriers/ Third Party Brokers* Proven drive to succeed* Strong attention to detail* Demonstrated accountability in their decision making* Effective communications skills (listening, verbal and written)* Good analytical, mathematical and problem solving techniques* Working knowledge of, Excel and Operations computer programs* Analytical and critical thinking skills* Must have reliable transportation* Strong problem solving skills* Proven team player with ability to align position goals with corporate strategic goals* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatch or planning role required* Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience would be an asset* Some post-secondary education is an asset* Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada*Why choose Triple Eight Transport Inc.?** State of the art facility* Regular company lunches for special events* Annual Summer Corporate team building event* Annual Winter Holiday party with amazing prize draws rewarding our valuable team because our people are important to us!* Opportunities for growth within the company as we continue growing* Our open door policy shows we value communication and building strong, meaningful relationships across our workplace* Competitive wage and vacation packagesJob Type: Full-timePay: From $60,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
