The Company Our client is a global consulting firm working with a global Investment Management Group. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our client on a large-scale project. This is a 12 months contract with possibility of extension. The Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for analysing the current state and documenting performance calculation methods and processes for the Group Investment Middle Office, mainly focusing on Fixed Income Attribution during the project You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data, document business processes, develop functional specifications and participate actively in target-state solution exercises. You will work with internal and external stakeholders independently and have adequate middle-office performance expertise to solve complex issues. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, identifying the data sources, analysing and articulating the methods, and outlying test strategy and test cases systematically and communicably. The Role
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data and analyze current state workflows related to Trade Management, Cash Operations, Fund Operations, Corporate actions, Reconciliations, Derivative & Collateral and Private Assets Operations.
- Work with third-party vendors to coordinate due diligence on middle-office operational processes.
- Identify, document, and manage project risks and issues related to the due diligence process.
- Develop functional specifications and document business processes for various functional areas.
- Prepare materials for requirements definition documents, including process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Participate actively in DD workshops, including leading discussions for areas where BA has been involved in documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues.
- Continuously improve processes and methodologies for documenting current state operational workflows.
- Participate actively in the development of test scenarios & validating test results.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Business Management, Banking and Finance or related.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience & familiarity with all related aspects of the investments performance calculation of a large asset management company in particular the knowledge of strategic asset allocation and attribution calculation.
- Experience & familiarity different asset classes e.g., equities, fixed income, time deposits, FX, OTC & ETD, funds, private assets.
- Prior experience in using Aladdin and/or Eagle of asset management processing projects.
- Experience in working with test managers on developing operational test scenarios, validation of test results on behalf of operation users.
- Experience with working with variety of stakeholders to manage documentation of business process / workflows / business requirements.
- Strong delivery drive & self-starter.
- Pragmatism and ability to operate in an ambiguous or complex environment.
- Time management and prioritization.
- Strong ability to elicit information, documentation & presentation skillset.
