The primary role of the Sales and Events Manager is to manage customer bookings, generate sales, develop marketing initiatives, and maintain customer relationships.The primary market segments this position will focus on include corporate, association, government, union, and city-wide events. Duties/Responsibilities  The duties and responsibilities of the Sales and Events Manager include, but are not limited to:Actively prospect new business for the Club with a focus on assigned markets. Drive revenue growth through the engagement of current clients and pursue opportunities in new markets through client reach-out, client and association networking, promotional, partnerships, and advertising activities.Communicate with past clients to assess satisfaction levels and solicit future business.Manage customer bookings, meet with clients to sign contracts, and provide event materials and facility tours to prospective customers.Translate bookings into banquet event orders, floor plans, etc; ensure approval by client and communication with operating departments.Liaison with customers while on-site and assist operations team to problem solve and deliver service excellence.Will be a member of Marketing and Website Committees.Will work with our service providers to develop brand/social media campaigns, promotions, advertising, website updates, social media posts, and public relations activities.Monitor and maintain quarterly and annual sales forecasts, competitor analysis, benchmarking, and report quarterly and annually to Operations Committee and/or BoardMonitor and maintain budget and expenses for marketing and promotional initiativesContinually improve the process and documentation used for customer bookings, brochures, forms, etc.Liaison with operations and finance to ensure adequate funds are received and any repayment or payments are finalized.Ensure the package is fully documented allowing for follow-up and rebooking.All other duties as assigned, including as needed being onsite to assist the execution of Club operations.Qualifications5 years of experience in a similar and industry is required.Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, etc. is an asset.Experience in soliciting new business in the Windsor region is a strong asset.Experience in promotions, advertising, digital and online marketing is a strong asset.Valid Ontario drivers license and insurance is required.Ability to work in Canada without sponsorship is required.
