  • This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Manager.
  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, conducting market research, and creating strategic business plans. The role requires regular in-person meetings and work from the Lagos office, with flexibility for some remote work.
  • The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company.
  • This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
Responsibilities

  • Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
  • Maintain existing business
  • Think critically when planning to assure project success
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expansion objectives
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new market trends, opportunities, and potential risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and tailor business proposals to meet client needs
  • Lead negotiation processes, contract agreements, and business closure activities
  • Prepare and present persuasive sales presentations, reports, and proposals to clients and senior management
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage)
  • Minimum of 4 years prior industry related experience in a similar role, preferably within the training and development field
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales in branding, training and image consulting sector
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent leadership abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
