Assistant Vice President (Finance) Our client is one of Asia’s leading multi-asset market and primary exchange in Singapore offering derivative products for a wide spectrum of global investors to manage their trading and price risks offering innovative clearing and settlement services across multi-assets. Key Responsibilities: Your main roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Handle daily finance operations of general accounting functions including maintenance of master data in the accounting system, preparing of customer invoices, processing of vendor invoices and staff reimbursement claims.
  • Perform month-end closing activities such as managing prepayment and accrual schedules. Ensure all closing journal entries are timely entered and reconciliations are performed.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and mitigate risks as well as Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Preparation and review of all tax submissions such as GST and corporate income tax
  • Preparation and review of regulatory reports and management reports
  • Preparation/Review of budgets, and collaboration with other departments to provide financial insights and support in achieving business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and investment needs.
Requirements:
  • At least a Degree in Accountancy or Finance with CA Singapore or CPA would be preferable.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience, preferably in the financial service industry with auditor’s background from financial services sector. Good proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous to liaising with Chinese counterparties.
  • Have good communication skills – both written and verbal, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with senior business partners, resolving problems cross-functionally across departments and regions
  • Solid knowledge of local accounting standards, regulatory reporting and excellent business and commercial judgement, analytical and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment. You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with problem-solving skill. Intellectual curiosity, strong professional judgment, work independently and have initiative mindset.
