As a creative and organized designer, you will be comfortable with meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while supporting the Creative Director in presentations and sourcing new fabrics.What You'll Do:Keep up to date on emerging trends in fabrics, colours, and silhouettesParticipate in building colour palettes and trends for the season and various categoriesRecommend sourcing and selection of fabrics, trims and printing techniques.Produce sketches to include colour, construction, fabric, and trim requirements.Ensure all dates on the merchandising calendar with the necessary creative materials (boards and/or samples) are received on time.Prepare packages with swatches, boards, and colour pallets needed for sales meetings.Coach technical designers to perform approvals of lab dips, strike-offs, trims, bulk, printing technique and artwork when required.Participate in fit sessionsSupport Creative Director with sourcing of new fabricsMaintain all approval libraries (in PLM) and identify original samples efficiently.Participate in presenting new fabrics seasonally to the rest of the teamWhat You Need:5-7 years of experience as a DesignerSleepwear experience highly desirableThorough knowledge of Illustrator and PhotoshopProficient in MS Office SuiteLicense knowledge (Disney/Marvel etc.) a plusExcellent product fabric and garment construction knowledgeUnderstanding of mass market production and designMust be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.Can produce graphics for the design aesthetic required.Ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure all deadlines for projects are met.Degree in Fashion DesignBilingualStrong team playerExperience working in a 3D environment and Browzwear platform an assetWhy join TKG!Free onsite parkingRRSP matchingWellness allowanceFull benefits including an EAPPersonal DaysFree CoffeeWelcome giftEventsLearning & Development……and much more!
