Business Systems Consultant, Performance Management Data & AnalyticsApex Systems is a global IT services provider and our consulting practice has an opening for a Data Business Systems Analyst Consultant who will be responsible for delivering end-to-end project implementation supporting a salesforce environment for a Top Five Bank.Client: Big 5 BankLocation: Hybrid; 1- 2 days a week in TorontoTerms: 6 Month Contract, Strong possibility of extension or converting fulltime based on project budget & candidate performance.Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pmWhat You'll Be Doing: The Business Systems Consultant, Performance Management Data & Analytics, will be accountable for bridging the gap between the business and solution requirements for performance measurement, analytics, and reporting datasets. The Consultant will: analyze the requirements to clarify any questions for the technical and quality assurance teams; provide the break down of solution requirements to the development team for system design; ensure that the resulting datasets provide a complete and sustainable solution for the business needs, while maintaining synchronicity amongst all partners: business sponsors, data providers, reporting, and quality assurance teams.How You'll SucceedRequirements and Data Solution - perform detailed analysis of requirements provided by the business, support the technical and quality assurance teams for clarification of business needs; partner with the dataset development team to investigate the data required to satisfy the business needs; drill down and document the detailed solution requirements; provide input to the development team for solution design; assist the ETL development when required; and work with the intake management team to ensure the documentation is complete for ongoing support.Data Quality and Integrity - partner with the quality assurance teams to design data models for comprehensive testing of the datasets; actively participate and support all quality assurance phases; monitor the data validation and resolution of variances as required; and document findings for internal status communications.Ongoing Data Model Support - review the data model results in an ongoing basis to ensure data quality and integrity for the reporting datasets; support data inquiries based on business and solution requirements, and ad-hoc second level support for business inquiries; and working with peers, provide analysis results and walkthroughs to keep all teams appraised of validation issues and resolution.Requirements:5+ years of experience working with Data-intensive applications, analyzing refining, and documenting requirements, building rules, and supporting development and QA through the SDLCYou can demonstrate experience in requirements clarification, data analysis, dataset solution design compatible with Oracle SQL and enterprise client relationship management tools.It's an asset if you have development knowledge of ETL tools (e.g. SQL Developer, Alteryx), Office 365 data sheets and macros, and you have an ability to work interchangeably in waterfall and agile environmentsDetailed understanding of various products and ability to work on mapping various product attributes, flows, and business details.Gather business/data requirements and translate to solution design as required in support of technical developers and QA resourcesEnsure tight alignment between our teams change delivery framework and other details surrounding each deliverable, e.g. risks, data availability timing, solution flexibility expectations, non-functional requirements, etc.Strong understanding of Data Warehouse design, Critical data elements, Controls, in an oracle database Assist with ETL development work as requiredExperience in documenting, presenting, and reviewing complex requirements.Experience sending mockups of the changes along with the documentation, then testing and validating to ensure dashboard display is accurateAbility to determine and support the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.Ability to query data (SQL) and use Excel for advanced data analysis and requirement documentation.Hands-on Experience with data formats like XML, FPML, JSON, ISO, etc.Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.Nice to HaveSalesforce dashboard experience IT Services and IT Consulting
