You'll have the opportunity to grow in an environment where intelligence, innovation, and leadership are valued and rewarded.Who You AreThe Senior Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of standards, strategies, objectives and technology plans for the company's database infrastructure and maintenance.Requirements10+ years of experience with Oracle DB administrationRecent experience with Oracle DB version 19c10+ years of experience with Oracle Real Application Cluster, including installation, upgrade, and patchingExtensive knowledge of ASM, ACFS, and DBFS file systems internalsUnderstanding and hand-on experience with HA solution for DB (DataGuard and Goldengate) and for application (UCP, ONS, FAN, AC)Strong logical and physical DB design skills, including partitioning (newest features), indexing, etc.Backup strategies and disaster recovery using RMANPerformance monitoring and tuning on query, DB, and OS levels using OEM and custom scripts, good knowledge of database internal viewsHand-on experience with Oracle Advanced Security (TDE, Data Redaction)Knowledge of basic UNIX administration (user, groups, resources utilization, etc.)Familiarity with basic cloud operations and AWS command lineNice to have: MongoDBEssential Functions & Responsibilities24x7 Production databaseParticipate in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality, including performing proactive maintenance such as ensuring continued space availability, monitoring activity, and documenting problems, changes, and solutions.Interact with testing and development teams to resolve problems and identify system enhancementsInstall, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle 19c database and OSDesign, implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery processes for on premise and cloud environmentsPhysical DemandsThis role requires extended periods of sitting or standing at a computer workstation.EEO StatementPaymentus is an equal opportunity employer.
