Job Overview The IT Infrastructure Solutions Engineer will be a member of a team of highly skilled individuals, responsible for translating the organization's business strategies into the implementation of innovative IT architecture solutions. This role will lead both innovation and continuous improvement as it relates to Windows Server technology services and infrastructure. The IT Infrastructure Solutions Engineer will actively be engaged in process definition, developing best practices, growing service capacity, and improving quality while adhering to all company policies and procedures.WHAT YOU WILL DOContribute to the company IT principles, policies, and standards in alignment with the IT strategy and governance.Design and develop innovative IT Infrastructure (integrated process, applications, data, and technology) solutions to execute business strategies, or to address business problems and enhancement requests in alignment with the IT plans and standards.Perform technical planning, infrastructure design and modification of current environment specifications.Create technical specifications for new infrastructure, products/services, and applications.Assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.Develop and maintain risk management plans through the life of projects to mitigate adverse impacts on achieving objectives.Lead the analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.Develop project and technology roadmaps, and define migration plans to mitigate the gaps between the current and future state.Maintain positive relationships with IT and business leaders to effectively promote, advise, and communicate the IT architecture value proposition.Perform complex cost/benefit analysis when researching future state capabilities.Act as an escalation point for other infrastructure teams.Ability to script with modern languages including PowerShellAWS Basic - IAM roles, resource policies, S3 buckets, Load balancers, NetworkingCoach and mentor less senior team members.WHAT YOU WILL BRINGEducation/TrainingBachelor's degree within computer science area or equivalent experience.Advanced Microsoft Certifications focused on Windows Server are preferred or equivalent experience.ExperienceMinimum 5 years supporting and administering a hybrid Windows Server environment (on-prem / AWS)Proven experience and Strong knowledge of Public Cloud (AWS Preferred) in IaaS/PaaS/Serverless. Architecting/designing within cloud platforms (AWS)Planning, researching, evaluating, and designing infrastructure systems by applying engineering, hardware, and software design theories and principlesLeading infrastructure SME's by preparing detailed specifications and documentation from high-level designsArchitecting and implementing Microsoft infrastructure and applications (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, System Center, Windows Server etc.)Designing complex storage and/or server environments (Cloud, SAN, NAS, Converged Compute/Storage etc.)Technical and practical knowledge of PowerShell scripting for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolutionArchitecting/designing within a VMware environment (vSphere/vCenter, SRM, ESX, DRS, etc.)Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWindows Server operating systemsActive Directory and related technologiesArchitecture frameworks, methodologies, and toolsTechnical and practical knowledge of scripting for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolutionWorking knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies (Git, Jenkins, bitbucket)Self-motivated, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire othersCreative and strategic thinker, working comfortably in a highly collaborative and constantly evolving environmentUnderstanding of information security technologiesAbility to drive continuous service improvementFlexibility to work both independently and within a teamStrong written and verbal communication/presentation skillsCI Financial is an independent company offering global wealth management and asset management advisory services through diverse financial services firms.
