(TSX.V: WGO, OTCQX: WHGOF, FRA: 29W) is a junior gold exploration company operating exclusively in the emerging White Gold District of Yukon, Canada. The Company holds a large mineral claim portfolio covering approximately 315,000 hectares (3,150 km2) representing over 40% of the White Gold District. The Company’s flagship White Gold project hosts four near-surface gold deposits which collectively contain an estimated 1,152,900 ounces of gold in Indicated Resources and 942,400 ounces of gold in Inferred Resources.White Gold Corp. currently has an exciting opportunity for an Exploration Geologist to join our exploration team. Reporting to the Vice President of Exploration, you will work closely with other members of the exploration team on our Yukon projects with the goal of making new discoveries and advancing projects to the next stage. As the ideal candidate, you are an enthusiastic team player with a passion for discovery and a strong commitment to safety.Responsibilities· Be a safety leader, following all company rules and procedures and government legislation relating to health and safety, and environmental compliance.· Carry out desktop compilation and interpretation of historical and ongoing exploration results to identify and prioritize targets for future exploration including drilling.· Assist in planning exploration activities including geological field mapping, determining the location and layouts of surface geochemical and geophysical surveys, mechanical trenching and drilling.· Work on exploration drilling programs including but not limited to locating drill pad locations in the field, ensuring drill rig alignment and setup, monitoring drilling progress, core logging, timely plotting of results and interpretation of drill sections, and ensuring proper QA/QC and sampling protocols are followed.· Carry out geological field mapping and prospecting at various scales and ensuring timely plotting and interpretation of results.· Work closely with contractors and exploration service companies to ensure programs are carried out successfully in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.· Report writing including internal company reports and assessment reports, and weekly project update reports during the field season.· Work collaboratively with other geological and technical staff and Company management.Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge· B.Sc. degree in Geology or Earth Sciences, with an M.Sc. in Geology or Earth Sciences considered an asset.· Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) designation or progressing towards same (G.I.T.) in a Canadian jurisdiction.· Minimum 5 years progressive experience in mineral exploration, preferably with a focus on field work in orogenic gold systems.· Competent in planning all relevant types of exploration, including but not limited to, geological mapping, soil and rock geochemistry surveys, ground geophysical surveys, mechanical trenching and drilling.· Previous field experience working in northern Canada, and in particular Yukon, is an asset.· Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), GIS software including ArcGIS, MapInfo and/or QGIS, Leapfrog Geo, IoGAS, and MX Deposit.
