Job details
SQL Database Administrator, SQL Server, ITIL, Windows, Database, scripting, automation SQL Database Administrator Contract role - 6 months - £500/day inside IR35 Remote Role The responsibilities:
- Daily management and operation of database systems, ensuring high availability.
- Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
- Experience supporting a Production database estate from an SQL Server database perspective
- Knowledge of undertaking SQL Server database builds, patching and upgrades (up to and including 2019)
- ITIL Service Management awareness
- Understanding of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery using Clustering and Always On including setup, troubleshooting and support
- SQL Server and Windows server patching
- SQL Server backup, recovery and housekeeping.
- Strong working knowledge of PowerShell or scripting and automating tasks
- ServiceNow
- Apex
- TDE (Transparent Data Encryption)
- MSCE Certification for SQL Server Administration or equivalent
