Te Tūranga /About the role:
As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll join a large collaborative team who work with stakeholders across Silver Fern Farms and with many external partners. We have a humble and down to earth team of experienced logistics professionals who understand the nature of shipping. We work hard and know how to have a laugh.
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing our export and domestic shipping requirements. You will foster solid relationships with MPI, shipping and logistics carriers, NZ Customs and of course our internal stakeholders and customers.
Your key tasks:
- Review and allocate inventory to meet contract requirements.
- Liaise with shipping providers to secure and book shipping slots.
- Offer sound customer service and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Record shipping details into the Planning/Logistics system.

You will naturally be an organiser that enjoys variety and knows how to prioritise and work within a busy, fast paced team. You'll have outstanding attention to detail, sound computer skills with a demonstrated work history in a similar role. You’ll also bring:
- Proven experience gained working in exports, shipping, freight forwarding or similar.
- Preparedness to learn and apply knowledge of MPI regulations.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A “team-player” attitude, interested in making sure that the whole team succeeds.
- Strong computer and systems skills.
