Job Description:

  1. Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop detailed solar PV system designs that meet client requirements, local codes, and industry standards.
  2. Develop, supervise, and review designs of PV systems such as electrical, structural, mechanical, and system components.
  3. Optimize system layout for maximum energy production and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Perform solar resource assessments to determine energy generation potential.
  5. Conduct shading analysis and assess site suitability for solar installations.
  6. Develop bill of materials (BOM) for projects.
  7. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and products for improved performance.
  8. Use modeling software to predict system performance, energy output, and financial returns.
  9. Analyze data to estimate payback periods and return on investment (ROI).
  10. Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations and utility requirements.
  11. Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals.
  12. Develop and implement quality control procedures for solar installations.
  13. Conduct inspections to ensure system integrity and safety standards.
  14. Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams during system setup.
  15. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  16. Create and maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  17. Monitor and ensure systems are operating optimally before handing over to clients.
  18. Promote and adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all installations meet safety requirements.
  19. Liaise with authorities such as SEDA, ST, TNB, consulting firms, local authorities on licensing matters.
  20. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for every project to ensure projects are within schedule.
  21. Provide technical support for sales, proposals, and during potential client meetings.
  22. Perform any other function that may be assigned by Management. Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply!
Candidates should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Professional Certificates or equivalent in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. Fresh graduates are highly welcomed. Strong time management skills, able to prioritize and meet critical deadlines. SEDA GCPV or OGPV system design certificate is an added advantage. Proficiency in solar design software and simulation tools. Good attention to detail. Knowledge of electrical systems and codes. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin is an added advantage. Good Presentation and Writing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with relevant regulations and permitting processes. Knowledge of solar PV technology and energy systems is a plus. Apply now at #J-18808-Ljbffr
