Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance and creation of managerial accounting framework and operational processes.
  • Preparation of budgets and actively engage key organization stakeholders and departments for budget negotiations and performance evaluations.
    • Compare historical results against budgets and forecasts.
    • Conduct variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvement plans.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for management and APAC business planning division relating to budget progress and forecast of achievement.
  • Support in performing analytical function focusing on the following key areas:
    • Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the P&L and balance sheet resources.
    • Evaluate whether Corporate Banking Division's existing resources e.g. funded assets, commitment, are effectively utilized.
    • Prepare profitability reports for performance evaluation of business units and identify key drivers of the business while proposing solutions for managing low yielding assets.
    • Recommend the optimal ways to expand and grow the businesses.
    • Review existing reporting processes and procedures, and suggest recommendations to improve standardization and efficiencies.
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree from an reputable university or college in finance or accountancy.
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience in Financial / Management Accounting in the banking industry is preferred, but similar experience from other sectors under COO or CFO office will also be considered.
  • Strong in problem solving and process improvement, driving change and adoption for continuous improvement.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience and/or interest in data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and data processing tools (e.g. Anaplan, Alteryx) will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate must be comfortable with unstructured data and working with MIS systems while combining information from various sources to produce a comprehensive and robust end product.
  • Financial modelling test may be conducted for final selection of candidates.
  • Being a self-starter, pro-active and a team player are desirable attributes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with different business units.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
