Start your career with Bank of Singapore as a Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) Mandate Specialist (AVP/ VP)! ! General Description The DPM mandate specialist team is responsible for the front-to-back client experience for CIO Mandates - DPM clients. This includes production of the marketing and communications from client portfolio positioning, pitch books, documents to facilitate client portfolio performance reviews and after-sales. In addition, mandate specialists are responsible for the framework for DPM client service to ensure a seamless client experience. Mandate specialists would be key representatives for DPM to drive AUM growth and mandate penetration for Bank of Singapore. Candidates should possess strong domain knowledge in portfolio management, financial markets, portfolio positioning and ability to articulate factors for portfolio performance (e.g. asset allocation, securities selection). Analytical skills to work with portfolio-related data. Key soft skills for a mandate specialist: Confidence, Determination, Self-motivation, Strong time management skills, Ability to work effectively under pressure, strong team player and keen interest in and understanding of portfolio management for wealth management clients. Strong presentation and communication skills a must. Main Duties • Together with DPM Portfolio Managers, understand clients' needs and craft solutions according to clients' risk appetite and preferences, through different asset classes including but not limited to fixed income, equities and alternatives. • Aid in the co-ordination of customized portfolio RFPs (request for proposals) and pitches, with various portfolio managers. • Create, refresh and review marketing materials (individual client's pitch decks, review updates, marketing launches) regularly to ensure accuracy and relevance. • Conduct reviews with clients on a regular basis, or whenever required. • Participate in meetings with and make presentations to key stakeholders (RMs, MI team, ICs etc.) to regularly update them on DPM activities, performance tracking and new launches. Qualifications Work Experience Requirements • Strong report writing, communication and presentation skills. • Strong understanding of financial markets • Proficient at Excel spreadsheet analytical development and utilization • Preferably skills in quantitative methods of data analysis • Familiarity with Blackrock Aladdin tools will be a plus. Education Requirements • At least 4-7 years of portfolio management or managed investments advisory, sales and marketing experience, preferably in a Private Bank or Asset Management house. • Degree qualification; CFA qualifications would be a plus. MAS Licensing Requirements Securities and Future Act (SFA) • Fund Management Financial Advisers Act (FAA) • Advising on investment products that are - Securities - units in a collective investment scheme - exchange-traded derivatives contracts - over-the-counter derivatives contracts - spot foreign exchanges contracts for the purposes of leveraged FX trading - spot foreign exchanges contracts other than for the purposes of leveraged FX trading - structured deposits
