Manager – Strategy Consulting KPMG Strategy works with C-level executives to identify, structure and help solve their most critical strategic issues across the economic and transaction cycles. Role and Responsibilities You will assume an active role on the below As a Manager , you will have a significant team management role in winning and delivering on mandates . The practice focuses on key closely-related service offerings :

  • Enterprise-wide transformation – Helping clients identify and respond to external triggers for transformation such as disruptive forces impacting financial, business and operating models, or internal motivations such as driving synergies and efficiencies within and between business units and aligning stakeholder interests.
  • Growth strategy – Assist clients in driving growth by accessing new and unmet revenue pools, profitably enter new markets and segments, develop and commercialize innovative products, attract customers and enhance loyalty.
  • Operating strategy - Developing and testing alternative operating model, identifying, quantifying and prioritizing efficiency opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Identify issues and form hypotheses and solutions in a structured approach
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting complex analysis on excel, and developing financial models
  • Extracting meaningful insights, making recommendations, and delivering clear and comprehensive strategic options, business plans, feasibility studies and business cases
  • Assuming responsibility of deliverables and collaborating with team members to deliver solutions
  • Leading content development for deliverable(s), including preparing business proposals and presentations
Practice Development You are expected to:
  • Work closely with other Managers, Directors and Partners
  • Train junior staff and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the sector to build and develop a high-quality team
  • Manage clients proactively, making client service a main priority and culture of the practice
Business Development You will support the development of our strategy practice by:
  • Supporting business development in both public and private sector markets
  • Actively participating in the responding to Requests for Proposal for advisory mandates on strategy
  • Supporting positioning the team and KPMG’s profile in the marketplace and develop business through industry involvement, contribution to internal and external publications, and presentation at conferences and industry events
In Summary
  • Previous experience advising on strategy consulting projects (public or private sector) will be required
  • Experience in strategy development, commercial due diligence, financial feasibility studies, business plans and turnaround planning.
  • Comfortable working within a project team environment, producing high-quality deliverables, managing and motivating teams
  • Ability to contribute to business development
Key requirements - what you bring to the role in details: To be able to realize this growth in revenue and staffing, KPMG requires an individual who meets a very specific profile. This individual must have and/or be able to demonstrate: Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or other respective fields with proven analytical direction, from a reputable university
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Strategy, Finance or other related fields, from a distinguished institute
Skills and Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is mandatory, fluency in Arabic would be a strong plus (although not mandatory)
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ specialized (post-MBA/MSc) experience in strategy consulting
  • The experience should include significant exposure in a Big-4 financial advisory, a strategy consulting firm, or multinational firms
  • Experience in building financial models, performing business and financial analysis, and leading team presentations
  • Cross-sectorial experience is an advantage
  • Project management skills demonstrated with experiences managing individual and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of the full lifecycle activities of infrastructure asset projects
  • Ability to manage business development, including through competitive proposals

  • Demonstrated hypothesis-driven problem solving and transaction skills with exceptional ability to build structured quantitative and qualitative analysis; sound business judgment and problem framing
  • Goal driven - focused on helping the client to understand issues and resolve key questions, ability to drive through to an outcome and to gain stakeholder support in circumstances of complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong communication and presentation skills demonstrated in working with senior stakeholders in government, financial institutions and the private sector including family businesses, with excellent prose and PowerPoint writing skills and sense of design
  • Proven track record at managing multiple and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to communicate and effectively engage with a diverse group of clients
  • Willingness and flexibility to expand and apply skills to new applications and industries, to work collaboratively within Strategy Consulting across lines of service
