This Opportunity The B+H Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture team is looking for a Senior Landscape Architect to manage CAD/Revit base plans, working drawings and presentation graphics for landscape and planning projects. The candidate will coordinate CAD/Revit drawings files and assist in the design and production of graphic and presentation drawings, using various graphic software applications. Candidates must be detail-oriented critical thinkers that are comfortable in a fast-paced deadline driven work environment. As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Participate and oversee the development of design concept direction through implementation into subsequent production and construction stages.
- Communicate closely with the senior leadership to implement the team vision while working independently on a day-to-day basis.
- Develop modern design concepts, graphics and presentation materials as required.
- Implement technical design and drawing production while keeping current in global design trends and issues.
- Collaborate with other design disciplines within the Toronto studio as well as other B+H studios globally.
- Provide mentoring to promote succession for junior team members.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting.
- Proficiency in Revit drafting
- Proficiency in presentation graphics software, including Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Proficiency in 3-D modeling programs such as Sketch Up and Rhino.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong graphic communication skills
- Experience with grading, construction materials and detailing
- University degree in Landscape Architecture, preferably at the graduate level.
- Licensed Landscape Architect in Ontario (or eligible for registration) preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience in the professional field, including project management experience with international design practice.
- Strong design conceptualization skills and graphic production skills including 2D and 3D computer rendering.
- Proficiency in presentation graphics software, including Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp and 3D Max.
- Proficiency in drafting using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong conceptual design knowledge, with strong graphic communication skills including development of hand sketches.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a geographically and ethnically diverse team.
- Strong and positive leadership and interpersonal qualities.
- Working knowledge of local construction industry and plant materials.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Detail oriented, efficient, adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities, and work well collaboratively.
- Evidence of a genuine passion for landscape architecture, public spaces and the natural environment.
