Job Description Health and Economic Finance Development Consortium (HEFDC) has evolved over the decades to what we are today: one of Africa’s leading providers of Consulting Advisory Services and Technical Support in Health and HIV/AIDS; Macroeconomic Development, Governance and Institutional Support; Training and Capacity Building, Research and Audit and Financial Services. We started our journey in as Economic Finance Development Consultants (EFDC) with the aim of supporting national and regional development initiatives across various sectors. Over the last three decades we have built a solid client base of governments and quasi-government entities, development agencies and private sector clients. Our clients have included Global Fund, IFAD, WHO, EU, ACP, UNCTAD, COMESA, International Trade Centre, ILO, UNIDO, FAO, UNESCO, Government of Tanzania, EAC Secretariat, AMREF, SIDA, UNDP, World Bank, GoK, in sectors such as Health, Industrial Development, Trade, Tourism and Agriculture and Rural Development. Qualifications and Experience Essential: A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics, informatics, biostatistics, or a related field with knowledge/skills of Geographical Information Systems and information technology. 5-7 years of experience implementing monitoring and evaluating activities for complex programs in developing countries. Demonstrated experience in providing technical support, setting up and managing M&E systems that track performance as per the objectives of this activity (e.g., performance against each result area) and in the application of statistical methods and database management. Substantial experience in designing, planning, monitoring, reviewing and reporting using Project Cycle Management approach and sector tools such as Theory of Change and Logical Frameworks. Strong interpersonal skills and networking skills with the ability to collaborate and build alliances internally and externally. Highly organised with ability to manage large, complex pieces of work with multiple stakeholders and to produce key deliverables on time. Desirable: Fluency in other HEFDC Group’ languages e.g., English, French, Kiswahili Experience of planning, monitoring and evaluating flexible and adaptive programmes Experience in working in donor projects Experience of leading a geographically disbursed team Experience in mentoring or coaching roles Experience of presenting and publishing (in print or on line) analytical materials to a wide range of expert and non-expert audiences Knowledge of information systems Specific qualifications or training in project and programme planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting e.g., PMD Pro Core Behaviours: Communicating and influencing Team working Planning and organizing Change and improvement Decision making Delivery and implementation #J-18808-Ljbffr
