Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Director to lead a non-profit organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The Managing Director will serve as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all aspects of the Foundation's operations, providing leadership to staff and volunteers, and ensuring the successful execution of its mission. Key Responsibilities: Chief Operating Officer: Administer and direct the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas. Leadership and Supervision: Provide general supervision and control, offering leadership, management, motivation, and enthusiasm to all officers, employees, and volunteers connected with the organization. Policy Development and Execution: Develop, obtain approval, establish, and direct the execution of operating policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen management control and achieve or exceed the Foundation's goals. Strategic Planning: Guide the preparation, approval, and execution of medium-term and annual plans and budgets. Assist the Board of Trustees in the development of long-term strategic plans to ensure the Foundation's sustained success and impact. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on the Foundation's operations at annual meetings for the Board of Trustees and members. This includes providing forecasts for the current year, fostering transparency and accountability. Additionally, ensure timely submission of regular reportorial requirements to government regulatory bodies, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the Board of Trustees to support the overall mission and objectives of the Foundation. Qualifications: § Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred); § Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the non-profit sector, with a track record of successfully managing and leading teams to achieve organizational goals; § Strong understanding of non-profit operations, governance, and compliance; § Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills; § Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Board members, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
