Company We are seeking a skilled Funds Operations Specialist to join our client, a global asset management firm on a 6 months project. As a Fund Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational functions open-ended funds. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth execution of daily fund operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing efficiency in fund processes. Role

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Review monthly accounts of SPVs, quarterly consolidated fund accounts, and investor capital statements.
  • Calculate management fees and facilitate annual audit process for accurate financial statements delivery.
  • Manage compliance with tax regulations for SPVs, including FATCA/CRS matters and investor tax returns.
  • Monitor cash management activities, including loan covenant compliance and distribution forecasts.
  • Coordinate with service providers for invoice approval, bank account management, and KYC requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support fund controller in various tasks including entity establishment and closing deliverables.
  • Participate in projects for system implementation, internal control enhancement, and process efficiency.
Requirement
  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent certification such as ACCA, CPA, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years of fund operation experience in real estate private equity or asset management.
  • Minimum 3 years supervising outsourced functions like fund accounting, transfer agency, corporate secretarial services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with real estate private equity fund operations.
  • Attention to detail with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Proactive and risk-focused approach to work, adept at identifying and addressing issues.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software implementation is advantageous.
